I went to see this show a couple of months ago: this particular set of pictures were large and stark: but they were also cruel, I thought. It seemed that the viewer was mocking the kind of people who become increasingly misguided as they age -- women, like this one, who may have once been beautiful, but who dress and parade their sagging bodies and lined faces with youthful aplomb. I think it's an interesting subject -- but it's also a sad one. Seems to me to be a nod to how the young view the old or the ageing; mocking their sagging virility.
